Nino Cordio (1937-2000)
Born on July 10th 1937 in Santa Ninfa in the province of Trapani.
He accomplished his studies at the Istituto d’Arte of Catania and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome.
A period of practice in the atelier of Friedländer in Paris followed.
His work has been shown in various personal exhibitions in Italy, Europe and the American continent.
The last anthology “Incisioni 1957 – 1997”, which curators were the Istituto Nazionale per la Grafica and the Ministero per i Beni Culturali e Ambientali, took place in the Calcografia Nazionale in Rome, the Fondazione Orestiadi in Gibellina and at Le Ciminiere in Catania.
He lived and worked in both Rome and Todi. He died on the 24th April 2000 in Rome.
